How to get “cheesy. creamy” foods without the dairy

With colder, darker weather come those darn comfort food cravings.

This is just part of being human, as things get more wet, dark and chilly – you naturally will see out things that make you feel cozy and warm.

Stuff like soups, grilled cheese sandwiches etc..

If you’re like me, and your body doesn’t feel good (or look good) when you eat cheese or milk, this can feel like a bit of a bummer.

WELL prepare to be super happy! There happens to be a quick fix to make your foods exciting, creamy and taste cheesy again- WITHOUT the dairy.

It’s NOOCH. AKA Brewer’s Yeast.

In fact I’ using it to make a CREAMY Broccoli soup today and to add some awesome flavor to my otherwise boring Baked Kale.

If you don’t alredy know why NOOCH is the bomb, read below:) And of course share this with your friends. Even if you do eat dairy.. this is an awesome all natural booster food (packs a ton of nutrients, B vitamins, protein) that tastes fantastic

Read on for all the info on Nooch:)  BUT ALSO – don’t miss out on my amazing creamy broccoli soup recipe(SCROLL TO END). SOOO freakin’ good!

The #1 trick to stay on track

Ready for this?! It’s so simple and works every darn day:)

Your #1 trick to stay on track with anything is –  TAKE SMALLER BITES

I mean that in terms of your work, workouts, health habits, social life etc…

Try this out – you wanna do healthy meal prep weekly – but can’t find the time? Take 1 small bite of that meal prep. Maybe that means tomorrow you do just half the grocery shopping.. in and out in 10 mins. Then Friday you do the rest — just 15 more mins shopping. Then Sat – cook just 1 of the meals you want prepped and Sunday cook the rest.

See! Easy, simple and gets it done.

I did this today for my workout- I was tired and had a lot to get done – So I promptly changed into my workout clothes after my AM clients – got in 22 minutes , YUP – 22 mins of kettlebell work.  Then this evening – I got in another half hour …

I took small bites of what I needed done, it all happened and I feel great. So – stop taking it all on and overwhelming yourself.

Keep it simple and take smaller bites till ya got it done:) You got this I know it!!

How to eat nutrition bars and not get fat

Nutrition bars are an awesome choice to snack on a busy day.. right?

Especially the high protein ones. We want to chow down on those bars screaming  29 grams of protein!  Right?

Well it turns out these can totally hold you back from the lean body, fat incinerating metabolism you crave.

Here’s why:

Filled with ingredients your body can’t digest

Contains ingredients that keep you bloated and tired

Too large of portion

So what are these sneaky foes?

  1.  WHEY and SOY.  Both are hard for most bodies to break down.  Soy is not as bad as whey, but it still is not your best choice.

here’s how to fix this, enjoy nutrition bars and get the results you deserve! Damnit!

  1.  Look for bars with protein  other than whey or soy. (hemp, pea, goat, pumpkin, egg white)
  2.  Eat only half a bar at a time.  ALWAYS.  No matter what size.

If you think this won’t be enough, simply keep the other half on you and eat it when you are really hungry again.

There is a ton of info in those bites, a little goes a long way! This way you will process these quickly, stay energized and love your slim waistline!

My Favs?

  1.  RX bar    www.rxbar.com (great before intense workout/ endurance work)
  2. Perfect Bar  perfectbar.com  (great on a busy day running errands or stuck at your desk)
  3. Picky Bar   pickybars.com  (great before a spin or run — up to 2 hours)
