Menopause Struggles

Sex Issues: Low desire, pain. Don’t dismiss your lack of desire or decline in intimacy. You Do Not need to be fixed.. you DO need to understand what is happening to your body and how it could be affecting your relationships.

When perimenopause started for me at age 39, I could not have an orgasm.. that is until I used the tools below and got educated by Dr. Kelly Casperson, ( see videos below) on why I am not broken and what I can do.

I’m proud to say all this information and the tools in my bedside stand are keeping me feeling younger and healthier. Not to mention feel more confident and intimate with my husband.

I am a huge fan of testosterone. It eradicated my joint pain and inflammation. Every woman is different, I knew something was off when I started feeling super “sluggish” and my muscles were sore and joints ached. If you are nourishing yourself well and getting proper sleep, you should rarely be sore from workouts. ( Book a 20 min consult call with me if you are)

Regarding sex and issues with desire and pain you need Dr. Kelly Casperson. She is THE Pro and leader on the topic of women in mid life and sex. Check out her Book and Podcast both titled : You Are Not Broken

She helps us understand why lack of desire and dry vulvas are normal! Better yet she gives the hard science on what we can do right now.

Orgasms improve our mood, decrease stress, decrease inflammation, aid muscle recovery and enhance sleep, they also help up improve our immune systems. When I need to train harder for a strength challenge, I schedule an orgasm with my vibrator. My husband is fantastic AND my orgasm is MY responsibility. If he’s game, I’ll have him join.. but I do not depend on him for my orgasms.

Here are the goodies I use to ensure I achieve an orgasm weekly ( with and without my husband)

2. LUBE is everything!! Use a lot, keep it every nightstand.
